Biography

Aché Abrahams is a Trinidadian fashion model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2022. She represented Trinidad and Tobago at the Miss World 2023 pageant, where she finished as a Top 4 finalist and was awarded the continental title of Miss World Caribbean 2023.

== Early life and education == Aché Abrahams was raised in Trinidad and Tobago, where she spent much of her early life in the Maracas Valley community. During her teenage years, she experienced challenges related to self-confidence and mental health, which later inspired her advocacy work and public platform. She attended St. Joseph’s Convent in St. Joseph, Trinidad and Tobago, where she completed her secondary education. Following her graduation, Abrahams pursued training in the performing arts and completed an acting program at the Identity School of Acting in London, England. In addition to her formal education, she developed an interest in the creative arts, including acting, public speaking, and social advocacy. Her academic background and extracurricular experiences contributed to her subsequent career as a model, creative artist, and mental health advocate.

=== Miss Trinidad and Tobago === On 6 November 2022, Abrahams competed in the Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2022 pageant, held at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) in Port of Spain, where she competed against sixteen other finalists for the title. At the conclusion of the competition, she was crowned Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2022 by the outgoing titleholder, Jeanine Brandt. Her victory earned her the right to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Miss World 2023 pageant.

As Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2022, Abrahams represented Trinidad and Tobago at the Miss World 2023 pageant in India. The pageant was originally scheduled to be held on 16 December 2023 but was postponed to 9 March 2024 due to the 2024 Indian general election. During the fast-track events, she placed in the Top 25 of the Head-to-Head Challenge, the Top 23 of the Talent Challenge, and the Top 10 of the Beauty with a Purpose challenge. The coronation ceremony was held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, where Abrahams finished as a Top 4 finalist alongside Lesego Chombo of Botswana. At the conclusion of the event, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2023. Abrahams was initially recognized as the continental winner for the Americas and the Caribbean. She was later awarded the specific continental title of Miss World Caribbean 2023 as the highest-placing contestant from the Caribbean, while Leticía Frota of Brazil, who finished in the Top 8 and was the runner-up within their continental group, received the title of Miss World Americas 2023. Abrahams' Top 4 finish marked the highest placement achieved by a Trinidad and Tobago representative at the Miss World pageant since Gabrielle Walcott finished as second runner-up in 2008. On 4 September 2024, it was revealed that Abrahams had placed third overall at Miss World 2023, behind the official runner-up, Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon.
