Biography

Malini Sharma is an Indian former model actress. She is widely known for her debut role as an obsessive lover in the horror film Raaz. For her role in the latter, she received the 2003 Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut and was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She has also featured in music videos such as Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag, Kitni Akeli, Kya Soorat Hai and Ranjhar. Sharma's debut film was Raaz. She signed for Gunaah, as the female lead opposite Dino Morea. However, two days before shooting commenced as she wanted distance from screen, Sharma backed out of the project. She worked as art director for two films, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and Just Married.

== Personal life == She married model and actor Priyanshu Chatterjee in 1997 and they divorced in 2001. She has since relocated to the hilly village of Sayadri Hills, approximately two hours away from Pune. There, she has established a local homestay nestled in nature.
